Day Two of Blogging

My second day of blogging (four days after starting this blog page). I think I'm starting to get the hang of this. Kind of. I spent almost half a day trying to figure out how to undo adding my own name to my own blog as a follower. Yes...I was following myself. I finally figured out how to remove my name. But I did get some actual followers (Thank you!), and I like that. It makes me feel wanted. Getting followers makes me feel good like I do when I get "hearts" on Etsy.

Speaking of Etsy...I'd love it if you'd take a look at my shop: http://www.tabletopstudio.etsy.com/ Pretty please? Yes, I'm shamelessly promoting, but, after all, that is mainly why I started blogging. Everyone says it is a must to blog and promote your shop. So here I am. Blogging. Promoting. I'll leave it at that for now, until I think of more things to blog about...

Taking the Plunge

I"m finally taking the plunge and joining the world of blogging. Yea! I've been wanting to do it for some time now, but I've been a little nervous at the prospect. But it seems that everyone is doing it, and I don't want to be the last one to jump on board. We'll see how it goes.

Currently, I spend a lot of my time working on my Etsy shop. I make jewelry, mainly rings and earrings. I've been making jewelry since I was a kid, when I would find pretty stones and polish them in my rock tumbler, then glue them onto cheapo metal jewelry settings. My skills (and settings) have improved somewhat since those days. About seven years ago, I decided to get serious about it and started doing local craft shows. A year ago, I heard about Etsy and fell in love when I saw it. There are so many talented and creative artisans there!

Snapdragons

Next to jewelry making, gardening is my other passion. I grew these snapdragons from seed, and they've been prolific bloomers all summer long. I love the pop of color with the pinks and oranges!
