Taking the Plunge

I"m finally taking the plunge and joining the world of blogging. Yea! I've been wanting to do it for some time now, but I've been a little nervous at the prospect. But it seems that everyone is doing it, and I don't want to be the last one to jump on board. We'll see how it goes.

Currently, I spend a lot of my time working on my Etsy shop. I make jewelry, mainly rings and earrings. I've been making jewelry since I was a kid, when I would find pretty stones and polish them in my rock tumbler, then glue them onto cheapo metal jewelry settings. My skills (and settings) have improved somewhat since those days. About seven years ago, I decided to get serious about it and started doing local craft shows. A year ago, I heard about Etsy and fell in love when I saw it. There are so many talented and creative artisans there!

I remember having snapdragons at the house I grew up in when I was little... Such a nice reminder, and bright!

Welcome to blog-land! I've found it slow to get people to follow... But I love to write, so that's what matters.

Lovely pictures and blog you have :)

Thanks Audrey & Amanda. Still working on my page and hopefully I'll get the hang of this soon.

And the snapdragons - I love them! This is the first year I've grown them, and I'll definitely keep them on my A list of plants to grow from now on.
